How ValenciaGO Is Making Connectivity a Reality for Residents

Have you ever noticed how many communities in the US are designed to benefit cars more than people?

For those communities, having a car becomes a necessity, and if you don’t own one, that can limit your access to basic resources. The problem is that getting every individual into their own vehicle is as unsustainable on the road as it is responsible for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Maybe we’re crazy, but we think that’s backwards.

We believe that neighborhoods should be designed for people first. This isn’t a soapbox—it’s a vision for a more sustainable and accessible future.

That’s why we're thrilled to announce the launch of our community’s net-zero transportation program, ValenciaGO. This program is a neighborhood amenity aimed at creating a variety of transportation solutions for Valencia by FivePoint’s residents to get from A to B through the most sustainable and environmentally-friendly options possible. With ValenciaGO, we’ll be one step closer to net-zero energy use and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by leveraging routes, destinations, and transportation solutions to create a community that puts people first.

Sustainable transportation should be available to everyone. As part of the program’s launch, ValenciaGO is rolling out transportation payback subsidies that reimburse residents for their purchase of a variety of eco-friendly transportation options.

Making Good on Our Net-Zero Vision

Although the decision to use sustainable transportation is an individual choice, it’s a decision that can be greatly influenced by the way communities are designed and built. Above all, we believe in bringing people together through a thoughtfully-planned community where there’s space and sustainable transportation for everyone. A vibrant place where people take time to embrace a culture of connection–to both each other, and the community.

We’re just getting started. In our quest to be a net-zero carbon emissions community FivePoint is also planning:

●      A robust network of NEV trails

●      Miles of walking and biking trails

●      Multiple shared transportation options

●      Mobility hubs

●      NEV charging stations

●      A service that helps you find a ride for carpooling and awards you badges for sustainable travel

These alternative transportation options will provide health, environmental, and financial benefits while also encouraging fewer car trips and minimizing air pollution. Residents can also bike where they need and want to go on a daily basis. No need to imagine—for Valencia residents, this is a reality!
